For the first time in over a decade, he is returning to the stage as a leader of his own quartet playing his hard-hitting compositions, beautiful melodies, and through-composed musical adventures. McCandless’ music resembles guitarist Pat Metheny’s but with lyrical woodwinds as the leading voice. He's teaming up with Charged Particles, a Bay Area-based band that’s been a tight unit for 25 years.
